Winner, Grand Prize (adult): “Peep Impact” was created by three graphic designers: R.K. Cobban, Renton; Shahmin Mahmood, Renton; and Molly Owen, Seattle. The three worked on their project during lunch and short breaks at PRO Sports Club in Bellevue, where they work.
Winner, Runner Up (adult): “Peepitecture: Seattle Central Peep Library” was created by Melody Leung (Mercer Island), and Nadia Melim and Marc Tegen (both West Seattle), three architects. This is the first model they have created in years.
Winner, Grand Prize (youth): Bothell’s Hannah Sivertson, 12, led the way in creating “Peeps De Resistance.” Her aunt, Karen Lee, assisted.
Winner, Runner Up (youth): Carl Dutton, 13, of Seattle, built the boats in “Viking Peeps Attack!” with balsa wood and a hot glue gun. He used tin foil, masking tape, fabric and skewers to create each little viking hat, oar and the other props.
Winner, Most Elaborate: Their love of “The Golden Girls” led Shelton’s Crystal Rodriguez and Jessica Fraser to create this scene, “Thank You For Being a Peep.” Every item, excluding the background, was created with Peeps, from the pillows and phone to the lamp and magazines on the coffee table.
Winner, Most Enthusiastic: Brier’s Hiatt family created seven different scenes for this year’s contest, including “Pageant Peeps,” by Anna Hiatt.
